After Chiang Rai I headed down to Phitsanulok, once the capital of Thailand. The city is quite a pleasing place, with life (well my life) centred on a row of bars and restaurants that run along the river.
Nowadays Phitsanulok town is famous for the Chinnarat Buddha at Wat Phra Si; this is considered to be the second most important Buddha image in Thailand and one of the most copied.
