Kuala Lumpur Markets

I love the markets in KL, unlike the ones in Turkey you don’t get that much hassle (just a little) so you can actually take time to look at things before choosing whether to buy them or not. There is a permanent market at petaling Street in Chinatown, good for watches, clothes and the like. On top of that there are lots of markets that spring up all over the place on certain days of the week. The one in Little India (with the exception of a couple of permanent stores) opens on a Saturday. It is full of colour, on one side of the street it sells the normal market goods (watches, CD’s, clothes etc.) but on the other side it is all food stalls. The smells and sights are fantastic, and although in little India the hawkers were selling Malay and Chinese food as well as Indian.
